best bets (6-3 (+8.10 units)
strong plays (11-10) (even)
regular plays (14-8) (+5.20 units)
overall (31-21) (+13.30 units)
OPINIONS (9-8) just for fun, no units involved.
another pretty good week. this picking them early on just gut feelings and what i know about the teams is working out pretty well. i think it is possible to read too much about the games. i know my record is not great, but for me in the nfl it is. hit my best bet and both strong plays last week while losing both regular plays. i am happy with that. onto this weeks plays...............
chicago +7 over indianapolis (BEST BET).........i know that payton manning is unstoppable, yeah, yeah, whatever. he will be AT chicago this week against an improved bears defense and team. he won't be in his dome throwing 5 td passes this week. colts are one of those teams that lose games when you don't expect them to. this might be one of those games. i love the seven points, who knows, you miight not even need them. payton struggles this week, colts might get lucky and pull a win out, just not by 7.
seattle -9.5 over miami (STRONG PLAY)............first starters i am a dolphins fan. they suck. it is getting towards the end of the year and their defense has had enough. even years when they had a good team and great defense, their defense was never as good on the road, they always gave up more points. now with their "three and out" offense, their defense gets more tired as the game goes on. the nfl can be a crazy game, but this should be a blowout. seattle by 21 or more.
atlanta -2.5 over giants (STRONG PLAY)..........when are people going to start believing in these falcons? i am not even sure myself how they are 7-2. kind of gone unnoticed. maybe becuase we are not hearing alot about michael vick this year. anyway, they are winning. giants are a boring team. sure they could win, it would not be that big a upset only being 2.5 point dogs, but atlanta continues to quietly have one on the best records in the nfl. i can't figure it out, but they are 7-2. make it 8-2.
cincinnati +4.5 over pittsburgh (REGULAR PLAY)............i must be out of my mind, but the steelers are due for a loss. i know it is not going to come at home, that is for sure. i thought it would be last week at cleveland. i was wrong. might be wrong again, but going with my gut here.
detroit +7.5 over minnesota (REGULAR PLAY)..........moss more than likely out again for the vikes and it apparently make all the difference for them. vikes don't know how to play defense either. should be another viking shootout. they have been on the shortend the past two weeks of games like this, but this week they win a close one. 38-34 vikings.
no opinions on the rest of the games. i might come back with the sunday night or monday game later on. they both look tough to pick. leans towards both home dogs right now.
good luck everybody!!
